International Notices

Customers outside of Canada are welcome to shop with us! However, there are certain restrictions or obligations, or other notices, that apply to customers in different countries. This page was last updated on 27 October 2021.

At present, all of our prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Your card issuer (or PayPal) may charge a foreign transaction fee, a markup on currency exchange, or both. In addition, if a refund is applied to your order, these fees may not be refunded by your card issuer. Consult your cardholder agreement for details.

Tax and Duty

All of our listed prices are exclusive of any sales tax, in accordance with Canadian custom and law. All customers are responsible for any sales tax obligations they may have in their area, as well as any import duty that may apply. Check local laws.

We cannot accept returns for shipments refused due to nonpayment of duty.

NOTICE to customers in Colorado, USA

If tax is not collected on your order, the state of Colorado requires that a Colorado purchaser file a sales and use tax return at the end of the year. This sales and use tax is to report all taxable purchases that were not taxed and to pay the taxes associated with those purchases. The purchase is not exempt from Colorado sales or use tax merely because it is made over the Internet. Colorado home rule jurisdictions must be contacted directly to determine any tax liability under their city sales and use tax ordinances.

NOTICE to customers in the United Kingdom

Until further notice, all orders shipped to the UK must total at least the equivalent of 135 GBP (approximately 250 CAD).

NOTICE to customers in Brazil, Italy, South Korea, and China

You are required to enter certain additional information at checkout, in order to facilitate clearance of your shipment at customs. The exact identity document number required varies based on the country. Our checkout will have a field for you to enter the applicable info. Check local laws.

Shipping is offered by Canada Post, UPS, and FedEx. Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout, based on destination and order size.

International shipments by Canada Post are fulfilled in the destination country by that country's postal service (e.g. USPS for the USA). The same 13-digit tracking number issued by Canada Post (e.g. LA123456789CA) is a Universal Postal Union standard, used on both ends, by both agencies.

Shipping methods marked as "Surface" have a listed service standard of 4-12 weeks. The closer you are to Toronto, the faster these shipments will arrive in your country.

Tracking numbers issued for "Small Packet" class shipments (First Digit of Tracking Number is "U") may not receive updates in the destination country. These tracking numbers are provided as a courtesy only. Consult your local postal service for more details.

Tracking numbers are not available for "Letter-post." Use of this service is at your own risk.

Shipping Restrictions

Certain items have restrictions on where and how they are shipped, based on either distributor or manufacturer restrictions, or legal restrictions. A full and up-to-date list can be found in our Shipping Policy.

In addition, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, certain countries have reduced or suspended service from Canada Post. As of 26 October 2021, the current list of countries where all Canada Post service is SUSPENDED includes: Afghanistan, Laos, Libya, Turkmenistan, and Yemen. In addition, Canada Post is reporting delays of up to 30 days above standard for shipments to Australia, New Zealand, and China.

Other countries may have fewer shipping options available than usual displayed at checkout. As our shipping options are calculated directly by Canada Post, UPS, and FedEx, any service disruption for your area will automatically be reflected at checkout.
